How to apply for or renew a resident parking permit.

Cost

There is no charge for a resident permit.

Apply

You will need to provide proof of your address and proof that you own the vehicle.

Proof of address

Documents showing proof of address (for example council tax or utility bills) need to have been issued within the last three months.

Rented properties

If you rent a property on a short-term basis, you must provide a copy of the signed original tenancy agreement which shows the start and end dates of your tenancy.

Proof of vehicle ownership

Please provide a copy of one of the following showing the permit address:

  • vehicle log book (V5C)
  • vehicle insurance document

Once you have applied, make a note of your application number and your PIN – you will need these to upload copies of your proof documents.

Renew

You need to renew your permit every year. We will send you a reminder when it is due to expire.

When you receive your reminder letter you will need to follow the instructions shown in the letter.

Please note when asked for supporting documentation you just need to choose one of the options from the drop down list. You do not need to supply any documentation if nothing has changed.

If you are able to provide a crime reference number, you will not be charged.
