Statement of Community Involvement: Have your say

Statement of Community Involvement

The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) gives communities the opportunity to share their thoughts, sets out how the council will consult and engage on planning matters across Leeds.

Have your say

We’re updating the current SCI to include any changes in legislation and planning policy and to learn from community feedback to date. We are doing this so we can:

  • improve the awareness and understanding of the planning system
  • work effectively with all communities across Leeds

Please refer to the SCI Scoping Report.

The SCI was subject to public consultation, seeking views about your experience of engagement and consultation. The consultation lasted for six weeks, closing on 2 December 2019 at 5pm.

An Engagement Group made up of community and neighbourhood planning groups has been working with the council to help us get to this stage and make the consultation clear and simple.  This group will consider all comments made and continue to work with the council to help draft a new SCI.
