The hub is run by the Women and Girls Alliance – Leeds (Women’s Aid).
What the hub offers
The hub provides a welcoming space to:
- have your say to help address the needs of the women and girls
- share ideas to shape services that matter to you
- connect and network with others
- influence change and promote inclusive and accessible services
Hub priorities
The priorities of the Women and Girls Hub are:
- safety
- education
- health and wellbeing
- employment and economic empowerment
- voice, influence and participation
How to get involved
The hub hosts socials and themed events that bring people together, to share and celebrate their experiences and learn from each other. These events often include key strategic leaders to help drive action and change.
Social events
Plans for 2025 to 2026 include:
- Sisterhood of Stories social evening. Where women can join for an evening of female poets, singers, songwriters responding to the theme of Women’s Safety. Sharing real stories of women’s lives in Leeds. June 2025
- Employability event. With statutory partners, where all women will learn about opportunities to influence strategic thinking and to access information about becoming more employment or education ready
- Autumn social evening. Theme to be confirmed
- International Women’s Day celebration. March 2026
