Searching for burial records

There is a fee of £47 for finding grave locations, where ashes have been scattered and doing burial record searches for our cemeteries and crematoria.

If you would like us to undertake a search for the exact location of a loved one, please email the following detail to bereavementservices@leeds.gov.uk:

• name of the deceased
• date of death
• the cemetery or crematorium where the funeral took place

We will then check our records and, if the information is correct, we will let you know the grave number and section or where in the grounds the cremated remains were strewn on receipt of payment.

We cannot guarantee a search will be successful but if we are unable to provide a location, you will not be charged.

Crematoria

All our sites have toilet facilities during open service hours, full access for wheelchair users and disabled parking within close proximity to the chapel buildings. Hearing loops are also available on request.

Our crematoria do not have staff permanently on site. If you require assistance, please contact us.
