Buying memorials and graves

Available to view on the date chosen at the crematorium, the Book of Remembrance is an indefinite reminder of loved ones. Please note, these entries cannot be amended once this has been added into the book.

We also have keepsake copies of your message available in the form of Remembrance Cards or a Miniature Leather Book, ideal for when you would like to keep multiple entries.

Available at Lawnswood Crematorium in the Gardens of Remembrance, this plate is the perfect way to identify where the ashes of your loved ones have been laid to rest. Please note, positions will not be allocated by the memorials team and must be appointed prior to placing an application.

At Rawdon Crematorium and our Baby Garden at Hunslet Cemetery, we offer our granite kerb plates, which will be allocated as next in line. All granite memorials offer the option of further personalisation with photo plaques and artwork - this will be priced upon application.

Our Barbican memorials are available across all of our crematoria sites, situated near the main chapel building. Similarly to the granite kerb plates, there is the option of further personalisation with photo plaques and artwork which is priced upon application.

For existing memorials, such as our rock stones and standard vases, additional or replacement plates can be purchased.

Available at Lawnswood and Rawdon only, our sanctum memorials are the perfect alternative to purchasing a grave for cremated remains. The vault space inside of the memorial can hold up to 2 sets of ashes, with oak wooden caskets available. Ashes inside this space can be removed at any point throughout the lease.,

The inscribed plate will be fixed onto the front of the memorial, posing as headstone for this space. All granite memorials offer the option of further personalisation with photo plaques and artwork - this will be priced upon application.

Our lease price starts from £1201, which includes the 20-year agreement, first 80 characters of inscription and the interment of 1 set of ashes into the vault; further prices are listed below. This memorial is designed to allow for any additional inscription to be added at a later date, along with the availability to inter a second set of cremated remains. Please take this into consideration when initially applying for the memorial as further charges may apply.

This range of memorials is designed specifically for children or baby gardens of remembrance. A character set and accompanying story, designed to help children come to terms with bereavement, the ‘Dear Mum’ range is a selection of hand-carved granite memorials that allow an area of reflection to be created in the grounds of Rawdon crematorium. The special owl post box allows children to post letters to people they’ve lost and helps provide an outlet for their feelings.

Granite plaque memorials are available to commemorate a loved one on granite carved mushrooms and the wishing well. The granite plaque contains wording of your choice to personalize the memorial. These plaques are purchased on a 10 year lease with the option to renew.
