Residents in Pool-in-Wharfedale have voted in favour of the Pool-in-Wharfedale Neighbourhood Plan being used to help determine planning applications in the area.
On Thursday 9 October, a referendum was held in the Pool-in-Wharfedale Neighbourhood Area. The referendum asked the question:
Do you want Leeds City Council to use the neighbourhood plan for Pool-in-Wharfedale to help decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?
The results of the referendum are as follows:

Pool-in-Wharfedale Designated Neighbourhood Plan Area
In accordance with Section 3 of the Neighbourhood Planning Act 2017, the Pool-in-Wharfedale Neighbourhood Plan is to be considered "made" and part of the development plan for the purposes of determining planning applications.
The council must still formally make the plan, and further details will be published in due course.
