Carlton Neighbourhood Plan

In accordance with the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, the Localism Act 2011 and the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations (2012) as amended, the council has redesignated the Carlton Neighbourhood Forum.

The designation is effective from 21 April 2021 and lasts for a period of five years.

This designation gives the Carlton Neighbourhood Forum the right to prepare a neighbourhood development plan for the Carlton Neighbourhood Area. No other organisation or body may be designated for the Carlton Neighbourhood Area until this designation expires or is withdrawn.

Publicity of the application to re-designate the Carlton Neighbourhood Forum

The Carlton Neighbourhood Forum was first designated on 16th October 2015. A forum designation lasts for five years; therefore, the forum was re-designated in April 2021 and has now applied to the council to be formally re-designated again in accordance with the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, the Localism Act 2011 and the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended). Re-designation will enable the forum to continue to prepare the neighbourhood plan for the Carlton Neighbourhood Area, which remains unchanged.

The neighbourhood forum application includes a map of the designated neighbourhood area, a copy of the written constitution, a list of membership, a statement of reasons as to why the application meets legislative requirements, and the contact details of a member of the forum, for which the council has express consent to make available online.
