Campaigns

Council marketing campaigns are supported through short URLs, social media and campaign pages.

Short URLs and social media

Short URLs are used to signpost everyone effectively to a single webpage and can be used on print materials such as leaflets and letters. These will need to be evaluated for their impact.

Some campaign goals can be achieved more effectively by using existing social media accounts and communities.

Campaign pages

A campaign page promotes website content using either the council's corporate brand or sub-brand.

We only create a campaign page where there is evidence of a user need and a developed marketing plan.

A campaign page must:

  • not duplicate information on Leeds.gov.uk
  • have an end date or review date
  • have a short URL that is used in marketing material
  • contain artwork consistent with the campaign brand
  • be evaluated for its impact

Banner images

Campaign pages have a full width banner using branded artwork.

The full width banner:

  • doesn't have any margin underneath it
  • contains no text - logos are ok
  • uses jpeg images in three different sizes (768x432px, 1024x400px and 1600x400px), as the images are swapped when the browser width is reduced
