Programmes are a great way to connect with other families and we welcome mums, dads, grandparents, and other extended family members to attend.
HENRY is a universal offer to all parents and carers, enabling a healthy, happy childhood.
HENRY programmes
The programmes run Monday to Friday, usually on the same day and time each week, for 8 sessions and there is no cost to take part.
Sessions are relaxed, friendly and designed to fit into real family life. Families who take part will also receive a free HENRY toolkit full of resources and practical tips to help you along the way.
HENRY programmes explore key themes such as:
- understanding your child’s needs, their feelings, and their behaviours
- strategies to manage a child’s behaviour
- looking after yourself as a parent
- family lifestyle habits and physical activity
- health eating, portion sizes and food labelling
- mealtimes
- being active together as a family
- increasing parental confidence and celebrating success within the family
HENRY is ideal for any family who would like to find out how they can become healthier and happier together.
Parent and carer testimonials
I really enjoyed meeting new people and engaging with others. It has been a positive session for me and it has changed how I will talk to my children with more empathy and feel like I have a much more positive outlook moving forward. We will also have more family meal times, and l will talk with more empathy.”
