Children’s Social Work Service
Colleagues working in the Children’s Social Work Service have access to training, development and support including:
- comprehensive programme of induction, support and assessment in a social worker’s first year
- opportunity to teach and assess students through our partnership with the Leeds and Wakefield Teaching partnership
- regular training linked to knowledge and skills statements and the Professional Capability Framework
- a career framework with clear training and guidance to progress including opportunities to qualify as a Practice Educator
- work with leading academics across the country who advise on practice improvement in Leeds, as well as a rolling programme of lectures and masterclasses
