Love Leeds

Cleaner streets. Stronger communities. Working together to improve neighbourhoods across Leeds.

Love Leeds is a new citywide programme bringing together residents, communities, partners and council services to help shape and improve neighbourhoods across Leeds.

The programme aims to support local people to identify what matters most in their area and work together to make a difference where they live.

Through listening, engagement and community action, Love Leeds will help create cleaner, greener and more welcoming neighbourhoods while building stronger connections between communities and local services.

Help shape what happens next in your community

Over the last few weeks, residents, community groups, local representatives and services have been sharing their views on what matters most in their neighbourhoods as part of Love Leeds.

We're now moving into the next stage of engagement, called Deeper Listening.

Residents living in Chapel Allerton, Headingley and Hyde Park, Little London and Woodhouse, and Moortown are invited to answer a new set of questions developed from the conversations and feedback already received. These questions have been designed by people in the local community and focus on the issues and opportunities that matter most to local residents.

By taking part, you'll help identify the key priorities for your area and influence the practical actions that happen next.

What is Love Leeds?

Love Leeds is about putting local people at the heart of local change.

The programme will work across communities throughout Leeds, beginning with a programme of engagement and listening activity to understand local priorities and identify opportunities for improvement.

Working alongside residents, community groups, partners and local organisations, action plans will be developed to help address issues identified by local communities.

How it works

Listen

We'll work with local people to understand what matters most in their neighbourhood.

Plan

We'll bring together residents, community groups, partners and council services to identify priorities and agree local actions.

Act

Communities and partners will work together to deliver improvements and support positive local action.

Celebrate

We'll share stories, successes and local achievements and continue to build momentum for future activity.

Get involved

We'll be running community engagement and listening activities across Leeds over the coming months.

These may include:

  • community conversations
  • local events
  • walkabouts
  • surveys
  • resident engagement sessions

Details of upcoming activity in your area will be added to this page as the programme develops and will also be added to your local Community Committee Facebook page.

Local updates

We'll share updates, community stories and examples of local action as Love Leeds progresses across different neighbourhoods on our social media channels.
