We have a menu of curriculum based workshops for you to choose from, or we can work with you to create a tailored package for the specific needs of your students. These have been developed through extensive teacher consultation and meet the National Curriculum and Exam Board Specifications. Our programmes offer experiential, multi-sensory, interactive and creative experiences.
We have creative spaces for you to work in at every site and can help you with Health and Safety (download our Health & Safety Guidance).
How much will it cost? All of our sites have free entry to Leeds LEA and SEN schools - so self-led visits are free of charge. We charge a £1 per pupil entrance charge for non-Leeds schools (including Academies) at Abbey House Museum, Leeds Industrial Museum, Thwaite Mills, Temple Newsam House and Lotherton (includes entrance to Bird Garden).
We believe every child should be able to access cultural education and cost should not be a barrier. Our workshop charges, for one class (either on site or as outreach), are £65 for a half day workshop and £130 for a full day workshop (subject to change).
Search our workshops and self-led resources and be inspired!
Planning a Visit:
We suggest you contact us at least two weeks in advance of when you plan to visit. Ring or email the site you are interested in visiting. Before you phone, decide on your preferred dates, any workshop information you are interested in and any additional needs.
We offer all group leaders a free pre-visit before any booking so you can complete your risk assessments and have a face-to-face chat with us about any issues. This is really useful for us to get a sense of any additional needs your group may have, and for you so you know where the toilets are, what to do in the event of an emergency, or simply about the timings for the day.
