The site is accessible for everyone and site staff are available to help. To request additional help, or to discuss access in more detail please call on the number above or email leeds.waste@leeds.gov.uk

    Winter (GMT) 27 October 2014 to 29th March 2015 8.00am to 4.00pm

    We are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day. 

Materials we accept:

Cardboard, garden waste, scrap metal, wood, paper, cans, aerosols, foil, plastic bottles and bags, glass, hardcore, rubble, soil, textiles, shoes, books, engine oil, vegetable oil, TVs and monitors, fridges and freezers, electrical appliances, mobile phones, household batteries, fluorescent tubes, energy saving bulbs, printer cartridges, car batteries, tyres (4 max), paint, household/DIY chemicals and garden chemicals.
Please note that we can only accept up to 5 rubble sacks (25kg standard type) or one small car boot load per visit of soil, inert or rubble waste.

This site has a special container for any household items that can be re-used such as furniture, bikes and bric-a-brac.

Are you using a vehicle other than a car?
 
If you have a commercial type vehicle (e.g. a van or a four wheel drive pick-up) or use a trailer to take your household waste to the recycling sites, you will need a permit.  Click on the Leeds Permit Scheme in 'top tasks' for more information.

Asbestos

This site does not accept asbestos. You can take asbestos waste by appointment only to Kirkstall Recycling Site, please call 0113 3783030 for information and charges.​

Frequently asked questions

Why do I have to take my rubbish to the Recycling Site?

We provide recycling sites so that you can recycle and get rid of your surplus waste that might not fit in your wheelie bin. To save time its worth sorting your recyclables and waste before visiting the site.

What if I don't know where to put things?

The site staff will be able to advise you about what can be recycled and where to put things. If you have any queries just ask them and they will be happy to help.​​

Planning site unavailability

Public Access will be unavailable on Sunday 5 October from 10am until 1pm due to essential work. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
