    We are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day. 

Please note to access the site you need to use the new supermarket entrance and go to the rear of the store.

Materials we accept:

Cardboard, garden waste, scrap metal, wood, paper, aerosols, foil, glass, hardcore, rubble, soil, textiles, shoes, books, engine oil, vegetable oil, TVs and monitors, fridges and freezers, electrical appliances, mobile phones, household batteries, fluorescent tubes, energy saving bulbs, printer cartridges, car batteries, tyres (4 max), paint, household/DIY chemicals, furniture, mattresses, garden chemicals and up to one litre of petrol/diesel.

Please note that we can only accept up to 5 rubble sacks (25kg standard type) or one small car boot load per visit of soil, inert or rubble waste.

This site has a special container for any household items that can be re-used such as furniture, bikes and bric-a-brac.

Are you using a vehicle other than a car?

If you have a commercial type vehicle, such as a van or a four wheel drive pick-up, or use a trailer to take your household waste to the recycling sites, you will need a permit.

This site does not accept asbestos. You can take asbestos waste by appointment only to Kirkstall Road Recycling Site, see Related Pages or call 0113 378 3030 for information and charges. ​​​​
