Children, families and carers

Leeds is home to more than 180,000 children and young people. Our ambition is to become the best city in the UK for them to grow up in by making Leeds a Child Friendly City.

Better lives for carers through advice, support and information

Our first responsibility is to keep all children and young people safe so there is information here about that work and what to do if you have concerns about a child. You can also find out where to get lots more advice and support if you are considering the life changing decision to adopt, or foster for Leeds.

We provide services, advice and support to children, young people and families right across the city, so we have lots more information about what's available in your local area, including early years and childcare and our services for children with complex needs.  We also really value your feedback, so there's advice here about how to let us know what you think.

If you want to know more about Leeds schools, or training opportunities for young people please visit our schools and learning pages.
