Leeds City Council Parks and Countryside service manages around 4000 hectares of green space across Leeds, ensuring that the city remains one of the greenest and most attractive places to live in Europe.

The sites that the service manages are varied and include:

  • parks
  • nature reserves
  • public rights of way
  • playgrounds
  • allotments
  • cemeteries and crematoria
  • sports pitches
  • woodlands
  • city centre flower beds.

On top of that, we are responsible for visitor attractions such as Tropical World, Home Farm at Temple Newsam and Lotherton Hall bird garden.  We also support Leeds In Bloom, have a large plant nursery, manage cafes and shops, run an education programme and lots more!

Information about all of these things and more can be found on this website but if you are struggling to find the information you require, don’t hesitate to contact us.
