Films

People are talking about child friendly Leeds and the voices of children and young people are at the heart of those conversations!

Across the city the child friendly Leeds network regularly produce and support films to make those voices heard. See a selection of our child friendly films below and let us know if you’d like to be involved in making or sponsoring a film in the future.

Child friendly Leeds: play your part!

We want Leeds to be the best city to grow up in, and to make this happen, the city is bringing together people, places and organisations to make Leeds a child friendly city.

Child friendly Leeds: Good luck in your exams!

We all know how important it is to give all children and young people the encouragement and inspiration they need to be a success.

As part of child friendly Leeds, we've brought together some sporting stars to share their advice and best wishes with all young people taking their exams.

Leeds Ofsted 2015: Children’s Voices

This short film was made to celebrate the March 2015 Ofsted report ‘Inspection of Services for Children in Need of Help and Protection, Children Looked After and Care Leavers’. Children and young people from Leeds schools (Blackgates Primary, East Ardsley Primary, Fountains Primary and Temple Moor High School) read out some of the statements from the report. Thank you to all the young people who took part.

Leeds is Good

This short film was made to celebrate the March 2015 Ofsted ‘Inspection of Services for Children in Need of Help and Protection, Children Looked After and Care Leavers.’ Leeds Children’s Services were judged to be ‘good’ overall with ‘outstanding’ leadership, management and governance, hence the film’s title. The film captures Leeds people telling us that ‘Leeds is Good’.

Thank you to everyone who took part and made it possible.

Leeds Welcomes Refugees, made the children from ESNW cluster in LS16 who wanted to show migrants what a day in school is like. We are hoping to use this film when welcoming new arrivals to the city and especially use as a 'welcome' during Refugee Week 2016

Well done in your exams!
