Some major schemes currently underway or moving into delivery:

Leeds City Rail Station - work to create a world-class gateway to the city and significantly improve one of the busiest stations in the north of England is underway, due to complete in 2025

Leeds City Square - it has been a long-held ambition to remove through-traffic from City Square and make it a people first environment. This is now the reality and the project is complete

Armley Gyratory - improvements to one of Leeds' busiest roundabouts to help with increased capacity and diverting through traffic out of City Square. The final phase to replace Wellington Road footbridge to start and construction complete by early 2025

Leeds City Centre cycling schemes – 7km of cycle lanes to be delivered, making it easier and safer to cycle in the city centre

- avoid making unnecessary short car journeys
- avoid the busiest routes and times of day, such as the school run
