Performance management

Managing performance helps us to prioritise areas that need more attention or resources and highlights where we are doing well.

Our strategic objectives for Leeds are set out in the Best City Ambition, supported by a range of other plans and strategies. A number of key performance indicators are linked to each plan or strategy and progress against these is published throughout the year as part of the relevant Executive Board, Scrutiny Board or partnership board papers.

Each year, a year-end performance report is produced highlighting the progress made throughout the year in delivering our strategic objectives - previously those outlined in the Best Council Plan, and from 2023, those in the Best City Ambition. 

This report provides the KPI results, and other key achievements made during the year, and also highlights where we need to redouble our efforts in the future.
