Vehicle Seizure Notices

When we can seize a vehicle

Where we have grounds to believe that a vehicle has been used in the commission of a fly-tipping offence, or grounds to believe that controlled waste has been or is being transported without the appropriate registration, we may seize the vehicle concerned.

The Control of Waste (Dealing with Seized Property) (England and Wales) 2015 Regulations stipulate that where a vehicle is seized, we must publish a notice of seizure on our website.

Vehicles we have seized

There are no vehicles currently seized.

Claiming a seized vehicle

A person may make a claim of entitlement to a seized vehicle within 15 working days of the date of the seizure. Details of how to do so are included on the notice.
