Neighbourhood regeneration

Our regeneration priorities

Our housing and regeneration priority plan sets out the investment required in the city to ensure that all residents have access to housing that meets their needs and aspirations, in neighbourhoods that are sustainable and successful.

We are working across the city to do this with a particular focus on neighbourhoods to the South and East of the city centre, where there has been long standing deprivation. This includes the following wards

  • Burmantofts and Richmond Hill
  • Chapel Allerton
  • Crossgates and Whinmoor
  • Gipton and Harehills
  • Killingbeck and Seacroft
  • Temple Newsam
  • City and Hunslet
  • Beeston and Holbeck
  • Middleton and Belle Isle

Support for neighbourhood-led improvements

From the Document section you can download a booklet that the council updates every year that helps people find resources for their neighbourhood improvement projects, with information and guidance about grants, who can apply for them and how to go about it.  For more information, please email the Strategy and Commissioning Team directly at E&Nstrategyandcommissioning@leeds.gov.uk .

Please see the Related Pages section for information about specific projects being led by the Regeneration Programmes Team and to find out about the Neighbourhood Planning initiative being managed by the Planning Department.
