Looking for an apprenticeship? Wanting some advice on becoming an apprentice? There are lots of benefits to doing an apprenticeship.

You can earn while you learn, and learn in a way that is best suited to you. Watch our short video for more information on the benefits of an Apprenticeship

Key benefits of being an apprentice

  • Earning a salary - apprentices do real jobs for real employers. If you are entering work for the first time, you will start earning from day one of your Apprenticeship.
  • Learn on the job - apprentices build up practical and theoretical skills, competencies and knowledge whilst gaining qualifications.
  • Support during training - your employer or training provider's role is to ensure that your training fits your personal requirements. They will offer a structured programme that gives you the skills needed to do the job well and satisfy national standards.
  • Prospects - Apprenticeships can be demanding but they are very rewarding and can lead to a successful career in your chosen area.
