We are offering up to 30% towards the capital costs of providing additional social housing in Leeds. This is grant funding from our Right to Buy Replacement Programme, and contributes to our wider housing growth programme.
We are interested in proposals for new developments and those that bring long term empty homes back into use. Opportunities for co-investment with other developers (including mixed tenure developments) are also welcomed.
We are looking for high quality developments in the following areas:
- Housing for older people; particularly specialist Extra Care Housing
- Property suitable for small and single person households, which will help us to address under occupation
- Larger than average properties to meet the needs of larger families
- Specialist housing for families with a disabled family member
This is not an exhaustive list and we will consider other proposals.
We are looking for designs that support the Leeds Standard, that of a high design quality, spacious, suitable for modern living, and include high standards of energy efficiency to reduce running costs for tenants.
We want to develop innovative approaches with partners for making the best use of land in the city. The funding can be used for the purchase of land and we will welcome proposals from applicants with creative solutions looking to work in partnership with us.
Details of the criteria that you need to meet to qualify for funding are available in the documents section on this page, along with application forms for the Affordable Housing Partnership.
Enquiries can be made by emailing James.firstname.lastname@example.org.
