Support for adults with mental health needs

How to access our services

If you already have a social worker or support worker, please speak to them first.

You can also see your GP, talk to a voluntary sector organisation directly or call Adult Social Care on 0113 222 4401 (Weekdays, 9am to 5pm, except Wednesdays when we're open from 10am). They will arrange a referral for you so someone can talk with you about your needs. If you are unable to use the telephone you can email us at

If you have an emergency on an evening or weekend, our Emergency Duty Team can help - please see the weekend and evening emergencies for their contact details.

The Leeds Mental Health Recovery Service

Supporting people to stay in control and live their life the way they choose. We want everyone to have a fulfilling life, be able to achieve their goals and to live somewhere they feel safe and our services are available to everyone.

We can provide care and support in a variety of ways, such as:

  • practical help with housing needs, including bidding for independent housing
  • building support networks
  • finding things to do during the day and taking up activities.
  • planning and reviewing care and support needs

We want to involve the people who use our services in the planning and delivery of care and support. Anyone can join the user-involvement committee which meets once a month, or attend meetings within the council teams to give feedback.
