There is a wide range of options for post 16 learners in Leeds, including learning at school, learning at college and work- based learning.
To make sure young people with SEN and disabilities have the support they might need to access these options, Leeds City Council requires all local post 16 education settings who access our funding to provide a core offer of support for learners with SEN and disabilities.
This core offer of support was agreed with our post 16 High Needs Student Steering Group, which includes people from different post 16 education settings. We have also collected views from young people to get their input. Full details are available in the
related documents section.
In Leeds we are also offering Leeds Local Offer Live events. These events give you access to knowing what services and opportunities exist in the city and how to access them. This approach is a vital part in enabling, empowering and supporting young people with SEND to make informed decisions about their future.
If you have any feedback on the core offer, we’d really like to hear from you. You can email us at
