Early years education

Leeds City Council requires all early education providers who access our funding to provide a core offer of support for children with SEN and disabilities. This offer was agreed with parents and carers and people who work in early education. You can find full details of this offer in the documents section.

The Family Information Service in Leeds can help you find all Ofsted registered early education and childcare providers in your area, including those who provide free early education entitlement places. You can use the search tool on their website.

A range of other information is also available on the Family Information Service website, including information about services that can support early education at home for young children with SEN and disabilities (portage), and eligibility criteria for free early education entitlement places for 2, 3 and 4 year olds.

If you want to give any feedback about the offer of early education and childcare in your area, we would like to hear from you. Use our feedback pages to share your views (see related pages).
