The Leeds Local Offer has several sections for you to use to find details about services available in Leeds for families, young people and children with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities (or SEND).
The web pages in this section have information on the specialist services provided by Leeds City Council, such as SEN assessment, funding, community health and disability social work and school provision.
When you want to find information about other services closer to your home or for a specific type of SEN, disabilities or age group then using our ‘find services for SEN and disabilities’ button will help you find what you are looking for. It is located on most of the Leeds Local Offer webpages and will return information about services that are not provided directly by the council. The council are not responsible for the content provided by any external website.
If you would like advice and information about any of the services in the Leeds Local Offer please contact the Leeds SEND Information Advice Support Service (formerly Parent Partnership Service).

SEND Strategic Review
To ensure that we have a clear and collective approach to making specialist provision for pupils with SEND in Leeds, we conducted a citywide review of SEND provision. We have also been allocated approximately £1 million of government funding over the next three years, to help us ensure there are enough SEND places for the children of Leeds.
As part of our duty to keep SEND provision under review, we have produced a
strategic plan (PDF 1MB) to show the current picture of SEND provision in Leeds for children and young people aged 0-25, and it sets out what we think the predicted growth areas are. More importantly, it will explain what our principles and priorities are for future planning. We want to make sure that any future provision is created in-line with the wishes of our families, so we recently asked for feedback form parents, children and young people, staff and any other interested parties on the review and especially the ‘Principles’ and the ‘Priorities’ sections on pages 31-33. You can find a brief overview of the outcome of this review in the
SEND Review short plan document (PDF 112KB).
