Horsforth Neighbourhood Plan

Residents in Horsforth have voted to adopt a neighbourhood plan for the area. This will mean the new plan will influence the planning and development in the area.

The referendum was held on Thursday 27 February 2020. The results were:

In accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning Act (2017) the neighbourhood plan is now considered ‘made’ and part of the development plan for the purposes of determining planning applications within the Horsforth Neighbourhood Area.

A summary of letters and emails sent to the council about the neighbourhood plan during the independent examination.

A decision statement of the local planning authority’s satisfaction that the neighbourhood plan meets the basic conditions specified by statute and complies with the provision made by or under Section 38A and 38B of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.

Formal notice containing details of the vote, including polling stations.
