Whilst not a legal requirement to publish this information online, in response to numerous requests from community groups, local residents and stakeholders including members, the council has committed to make the representations available.  Scroll down for the most recent update. Publication Draft Plan

The publication draft consultation undertaken between 22 September 2015 till 16 November 2015 follows the early Issues and Options consultation in July 2013.

Over 9,700 submissions amounting to over 45,000 individual representations were received during this consultation.

Revised Publication Draft Plan - Outer North East Housing Market Characteristic Area

The revised publication draft consultation was undertaken between 26th September to 7th November 2016 following the September 2015 Publication Draft consultation.

Over 3736 submissions amounting to over 4073 individual representations have been received during the revised Publication Draft Outer North East Consultation.

Pre-Submission Changes​

As a result of the public consultations undertaken in September 2015 and September 2016, the Council proposed a number of specific changes to the Plan. These Pre-Submission Changes were advertised for a 6 week period between 13th February and 27th March 2017.

In total 9,097 individual representations were made during the consultation period.

Revised Submission Draft

The council consulted on the Revised Submission Draft Plan for a period of six weeks between 15 January until 26 February 2018. The Plan was re-submitted to government Inspectors on 23 March 2017 as part of the ongoing Independent Examination.

Sustainability Appraisal of Identified Sites

During hearing sessions held in July 2018 in relation to Matter 1 (procedural requirements) and Matter 6 (site selection methodology), the Inspectors agreed that further sustainability appraisal work should be undertaken. Consultation was carried out on the sustainability appraisal of identified sites between 14 August until 11 September 2018.

Proposed Main Modifications

Following the public hearings, the council consulted on the Inspectors Main Modifications for a period of six weeks between 21 January and 4 March 2019. Comments made during the consultation period are with the Planning Inspectors for their consideration.
