The 8th annual Public Health and Wellbeing Conference for Leeds will take place on Wednesday 25 March 2020 at Leeds Town Hall on The Headrow. This is your opportunity to hear about the latest public health evidence and what works, network with colleagues, and celebrate all the great work you are doing in Leeds.
The theme for this year’s event is the Power of Connections – how important it is we make connections in our lives and what Leeds is doing to support this. The conference will highlight how you can access a range of opportunities to be connected in Leeds and the impact you can make, whatever your role.
The conference will be opened by Councillor Charlwood, followed by keynote speakers including the Director of Public Health for Leeds. There will also be a series of workshops that will examine this year’s theme.
The conference will explore:
- importance of communities for health
- links between arts and health
- tackling loneliness
- digital connectivity and tools for health
- connections between the environment and health
There will be a range of exhibitors promoting local services as well as signposting you to where you can access support and information.
This conference is relevant to anyone who is working to improve health and wellbeing in Leeds – we all have a contribution to make.
