A traditional Christmas awaits at Temple Newsam Estate each weekend in December, as the House gets a festive makeover, the animals bed down for winter and the Tea Rooms offer a scrumptious festive menu.
Plus, one special visitor promises to stop by; so take a trip to see the elves in their workshop on your way to meeting Father Christmas. A time slot can be booked in advance.
At weekends from 1- 23 December visit Home Farm between 10am - 3pm and get warm by the fire in the Joiner's shop, before letting your Christmas creativity run wild with our Christmas crafts:
1, 2, 15 and 16 December
Make a Christmas table decoration using natural materials from the estate, or pop into Dunstan's hall to transform a pinecone into a cute Christmas Friend.
8, 9, 22 and 23 December
Craft a Christmas wreath using natural materials from the estate, or transform a pinecone in Dunstan's Hall.
8 - 23 December
From 1 - 4pm carry on to the finely decorated House and enjoy the changing programme of live performance of carol singers, musicians and dancers. Check out the festive feasts enjoyed by residents of Temple Newsam's past, see the gifts, play our games, dress up and join the quest to hunt down presents for Arthur the Elf.
