Saturday 30 March
11am – 4pm
Come along and celebrate a little bit of local Leeds heritage at the first ever Armley Print Fest at Leeds Industrial Museum.
From family fun activities to a print fair selling local printmaker's work, live demonstrations and film screenings, there’s a whole lot of print related greatness to suit every age and interest.
Listen to talks from the experts from the Centre for the Comparative History of Print at the University of Leeds, and nestle down for a screening of the Pressing On: The Letterpress Film with a very special introduction from the Director Erin Beckloff.
Get a look-in at drypoint etching demonstrations and activities with Cath Brooke and relief print workshops with Art Link. We have a special screen printing workshop lined up for creative young visitors looking to learn a new skill too! For a special treat, Leeds Print Workshop will be demonstrating letterpress using the museum’s very own Albion Press.
Whether you’re new to print and fancy a day out with a difference, or you’re a printing pro – everyone is welcome!
Armley Print Fest is free with normal admission into Leeds Industrial Museum.
