Horsforth Hall Park is a large community park about six miles north-west of Leeds city centre.
Location
Hall Lane, Horsforth, LS18 5JE
Attractions and facilities
The park has a specially designed outdoor integrated play facility allowing disabled and able bodied children under the age of eight to play together. The equipment is designed to provide various stimuli, including role play and the development of manipulative skills. This play area was the first of its kind in Leeds with HIPPO (The Horsforth Integrated Play Project) and Mencap working together with the Parks and Countryside service for the benefit of the local community. There is a playground for the older children which now includes a new climbing feature called a 'Spider’s Web'. This was purchased with the help of a contribution from 'The Friends of Hall Park' who play a valuable role in helping to improve the facilities within the park.
