Grand Futures Leeds

Grand Futures Leeds is a network of 15 arts, heritage and education organisations across the city that are working together to increase the number of arts training and career opportunities available to young people in Leeds.

Apprenticeships: earning, learning and living in Leeds

 

 

Work Experience - for Year 10 and 11Work Experience - for Year 10 and 11<div class="ExternalClassD6156DCF4A124374AD9BAE12E456330D">Work experience placements tend to be a one or two week placement, aimed predominantly at Year 10 and 11 students, although this varies across organisations. <br><br>It is an opportunity to find out about how an organisation is run and discover more about the different departments within the company as well as getting a feel for working in a professional environment.</div>
Volunteering - for aged 17 and upVolunteering - for aged 17 and up<div class="ExternalClassF14F5E1BDA3147E18BBF8DFA2132EC22">Volunteering is a great chance to find out more about the arts industries, enhance your CV and meet new people. <br><br>We have a wide range of volunteering opportunities available across the Grand Futures Leeds arts partners to suit your interests such as Front of House, research projects, supporting educational activities and photography opportunities. ​ <br> <br>Volunteering is mainly for ages 17 and up.</div>
Apprenticeships - ages 16 and upApprenticeships - ages 16 and up<div class="ExternalClass11FD0B35BFE64BEA961034973108562B">​​Earn while you learn! <br><br>We offer a range of apprenticeships across different departments such as Technical Theatre, Front of House, Arts Administration, Arts Education and Marketing. On completing the qualification, past apprentices have gone onto further training, or been eligible to apply for jobs that come up within the company. ​<br><br></div>
Placements - for University studentsPlacements - for University students<div class="ExternalClassB9927B6424804DC094AF7099EFB87B1F">We offer a range of placements for university students, from week-long experiences to longer-term placements. <br><br>In the past opportunities have included, curating an exhibition, shadowing a professional, supporting the development of primary school workshops or conducting research.</div>
Internships - for ages 18-24Internships - for ages 18-24<div class="ExternalClassB131E931C95D41B9BC62DA8DE1DE53B0">We have a range of Internship opportunities for 18-24 year olds. <br><br>Past Interns have gained experience working with finance teams, supporting event management and developing skills in Learning, Marketing and Administration. <br><br>On completing training, past Interns have gone onto further training, or been eligible to apply for jobs that come up within the company.</div>

Schools Challenge 2018 - Practical Experience in the Arts for students in KS3 and KS4
