Citizens Advice helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent advice practical, reliable information to help you solve your problems.

Their national website also includes frequently asked questions in other languages. The information is continually reviewed by their teams of advisers and covers the law in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Citizens Advice Leeds provides debt advice over the telephone and face-to-face.  You can contact them initially by calling the Leeds Adviceline number 0113 223 4400 or visiting in person at 31 New York Street, Leeds LS2 7DT Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm.

The Citizens Advice national consumer service provides free, confidential and impartial advice on issues around buying goods or services, including fuel and postal services. This includes being treated unfairly by a trader, receiving a poor service, switching energy suppliers or cancelling a contract.  Tel:  03454 04 05 06, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
