Trade at Farmers Markets

The Leeds Markets team run Farmers Markets throughout the month along Briggate in the city centre.

The markets are held on the first and third Sunday of every month.

Availability at some of the Farmers Markets is limited and some have a waiting list.

The Leeds Markets team will allocate places as they become available. This will be based on the variety of products already on offer and length of time on the waiting list. This is to make sure that the farmer’s markets always offer customer plenty of variety and reduce the amount of competition amongst the traders.

To trade at one of the Leeds Markets run farmer’s markets simply fill out a Farmers Market application form (PDF, 239KB) and return to the Leeds Markets team. You will be notified within five working days if you have a place or if there is a waiting list.

Anything else you should know?

Before trading you will be asked to provide proof of address and UK citizenship. All traders must also have public liability insurance.

There are also a number of other privately managed Farmers Markets taking place across the city at various times throughout the month. Stalls are managed by the operators of each market. You can contact the Leeds Markets team on 0113 378 1950 for the individual contacts at your preferred market.
