Fostering with Pride

We pride ourselves on being an inclusive fostering agency, who welcome people and families from all backgrounds.

Become a foster carer

Here in Leeds, we believe LGBT+ people and families have a key role to play in meeting the urgent need for more new homes for children in care.

Through our Fostering with Pride campaign, we want to reach out to encourage people within the community to come forward and consider part-time or full-time fostering, or supported lodgings with Leeds City Council.

The number of LGBT+ families adopting continues to see an increase.

Sadly the same can't be said for foster carers. So, if you identify as LGBT+ and enjoy caring for children and young people, we’d love to hear from you today.

Foster4Leeds is a member of the UK LGBT+ fostering and adoption charity New Family Social. All our approved LGBT+ foster families are entitled to free individual Gold Membership post approval and Bronze Membership pre-approval. Please visit New Family Social for more information.

Join one of our fostering events in Leeds and talk to our friendly staff about the assessment process and what types of children are currently looking for foster homes.

We were worried our sexuality would be an issue when trying to foster, but we’ve had nothing but support and encouragement from Foster4Leeds. We’re loving every moment of our fostering journey so far!
