Current and upcoming improvement schemes
Some major schemes currently underway or moving into delivery:

Leeds City Rail Station - work to create a world-class gateway to the city and significantly improve one of the busiest stations in the north of England is underway, due to complete in 2025

Leeds City Square - it has been a long-held ambition to remove through-traffic from City Square and make it a people first environment. We’re making this a reality with construction already underway

Armley Gyratory - improvements to one of Leeds' busiest roundabouts to help with increased capacity and diverting through traffic out of City Square is currently being delivered, with construction due to complete in summer 2024

Leeds City Centre cycling schemes – 7km of cycle lanes to be delivered, making it easier and safer to cycle in the city centre
