Getting the right advice and support is essential as your business develops and grows.
Business organisations such as
Leeds Chamber and the many professional advisory firms based in Leeds can advise on things like employment law, health and safety, marketing and financial advice.
More specific advice and practical help is available through other organisations such as the
Department for International Trade and
Chamber International, which advise on exporting and doing business in overseas markets, for example.
Manufacturers can draw on the expertise of the
Manufacturing Growth Programme, while the
Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses programme provides training and development in business management and leadership. These are just a few examples of the support that’s available.
Getting the right staff
Leeds City Council provides a range of support to help your business grow including help with recruitment, workforce development and apprenticeships. Whether you are a large employer or a smaller, growing business, the council’s
Employment Leeds team can help you recruit the right staff and develop the skills of your workforce.
We can also help with apprenticeships or, through our links with colleges and other training providers, work with your company to develop bespoke training programmes.
Support for training and workforce development is also available through the
LEP Skills Service.
