Location

Abbey Mills is a former mill complex located 2.5 miles north-west of Leeds City centre on the main A65 arterial road. Kirkstall Bridge Shopping Park is immediately adjacent. Leisure facilities are close by. The Medieval Kirkstall Abbey stands just to the north in a public park by the River Aire.

Extending to approximately 2,695 sqm (29,000 sqft) (GIA) on a site of 0.48 hectares. The complex benefits from on-site car parking and regular public transport. All of the buildings are Grade II Listed.

The opportunity

The Council is inviting expressions of interest to undertake a refurbishment and restoration scheme.

The mill complex was last used for light commercial purposes. The vast majority is vacant except for two remaining tenants. The complex is considered suitable for a range of uses including residential conversion subject to planning permission and listed building consent.

Interested parties attention is directed to Plan 2 in the property brochure which details the full extent of the site available and which is split into LOT 1 and LOT 2. The Council is seeking confirmation from interested parties whether their interest is for LOT 1 or LOT 2 or LOT 1 and LOT 2.
