The Leeds Compassionate City Awards recognise the outstanding individuals and organisations who make a difference to their communities.

The awards celebrate the positive work that individuals, community groups and organisations do every day to make their local communities and our city a great place to live, work, and visit.
There are 9 award categories for a person, group or organisation:
We have far more in common with each other than things that divide us.
Sponsored by Luminate Education Group.
An individual or organisation who have gone above and beyond to unite and bring different communities together, supported newer communities to feel welcome or championed issues which help to create more integrated and inclusive communities.
Sponsored by Leeds Rhinos Foundation.
An individual or volunteer who has achieved a remarkable sporting feat or who regularly makes a positive difference within their community by enabling participation in grassroots sports through their personal dedication and commitment.
This could also include championing the power of sport to change lives by raising vital funds for individuals, organisations and communities that are using sport to support disadvantaged people or communities.
Sponsored by Leeds United Football Club.
A project or organisation that uses sport and physical activity to enable communities to lead more active lifestyles, whilst celebrating the diverse sporting or cultural landscape of our city.
The project brings people and communities together through the power of sport and makes a positive impact on individuals, communities, and wider society.
Sponsored by STM 360.
A community organisation or project that has made a significant difference to the people within their local community and has made a demonstrable impact on the lives of local people.
This could include organisations or projects which have supported the city during the financial crisis, or who have been completely committed to continuing to deliver services with the aim of supporting people through difficult times.
Sponsored by Munroe K.
A project, organisation or individual who has made a positive contribution to improving health and wellbeing in the city. We are looking for individuals or groups who seek to improve the happiness, health, and mindfulness of people in their local community.
This could be through championing health and wellbeing causes, developing an organisation or group which focuses on health and wellbeing or helping to drive forward a health and wellbeing initiative.
Sponsored by Dawson Group.
A project or organisation that works to create a fairer and more inclusive society and has made an outstanding contribution to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
This could include helping to bring different communities together, highlighting and working to solve issues around inclusion or working with marginalised communities to make their voices heard.
Sponsored by Munroe K.
A project, organisation or individual which works to improve the local environment or the city by contributing to the protection of the environment through significant contributions to environmental issues and concerns, major contributions to nature conservation or combatting issues such as global warming, litter, fouling and waste management.
Sponsored by STM 360.
An individual who has worked tirelessly to support the most vulnerable in their community and has shown passion to help others. Through their hard work and dedication, they may have led work which has contributed to the city’s success.
This could include completing a community project benefiting their neighbourhood, fundraising for a specific cause, supporting a community group or working to raise awareness about a topic that affects them personally.
Sponsored by Park Lane Foundation.
An individual or group that has shown great determination and creativity and gone the extra mile to raise funds or awareness for a good cause.
The amount of money raised is not as important as the effort and personal challenges and adversity overcome to complete a fundraising challenge for a worthy cause or organisation.
