Explore our library catalogue to see what's available in all the Leeds Library and Information service branches, plus the Central library and departments.
Items can be reserved either online using your library card and PIN or by visiting your local branch. Most reservations are free.

Items that you already have on loan can be renewed online using your library card and PIN, please have your library card or the barcode number of each item to hand

Use the barcode scan feature which allows you to scan the barcode on any title anywhere, then search our catalogue to see if you can borrow it from us

Find out your PIN number
If you do not know your PIN number, you can reset it through the My Account link on the online catalogue. Please note this will only work if you have supplied us with your email address. Alternatively, please contact your local library or Enquiry Express on

Reserve an item
Use the library catalogue to search for the item you want and click the 'reserve this item' button. General reservation of an item in stock or on order is free.
If a title is not in stock, we can request it and reserve it for you, if it is available from our suppliers and meets stock criteria. There is an admin charge of £2 for this service.
Inter-library loans to obtain an item from the British Library or another UK library costs £10 (no concessions).
Charges are refundable if the reservation cannot be satisfied. All children’s titles are free to reserve.
You can choose which library you would prefer to collect the item from.
To make a reservation of an item not on our catalogue, visit any library, email leedslibraries@leeds.gov.uk email link (please include the author, title and your library card number) or phone 0113 378 5005.’
Search the library catalogue
For a simple search, type the author, title, subject that you are interested in or the ISBN. For more advanced searches click on the 'more search options' text underneath the box, this gives more search options including location and year published.
