WNWHL is managed by a Board of 12 non-executive directors.
The Board is in place to monitor the performance of all areas within WNWHL, review policies and procedures and each year's budgets and accounts. The board will ensure WNWHL is run with the best interests of it tenants always in mind.
They set the strategic direction of the company, monitoring performance, setting budgets and approving policies and procedures. However the Board does not get involved in the day-to-day running of the organisation.
The role of Board Member is undertaken on a voluntary basis, although expenses are paid.
Tenant Board Members
Tenant representatives covering the WNWHLarea are elected to the Board through a tenant election process, and do not have to be a member of a Tenants and Residents' Association. Tenant Board Members hold office for three years.
Council Representatives
Leeds City Council nominates the representatives to sit on the board.
Independent Members
Our Independent Members all have a local connection to WNWHL. They also bring with them skills or expertise within Local Government or the private sector at a senior level in areas such as; Business Management, Finance, Legal, Human Resources and/or Training, Housing Management, Building and Contracting, Community Work.
Board Meetings
The Board meet on a bi-monthly basis. Meetings start at 4.30pm with refreshments being provided during a comfort break. Board meetings are open to the public but members of the public are asked to leave the room when confidential papers are being discussed.

It will not always be possible to answer all questions in full at a meeting.
