The Unitary Development Plan is the statutory development plan for the whole of the Leeds district. The original UDP was approved in 2001.
Following public consultation and a public inquiry a review was approved in 2006. The Leeds UDP Review 2006 Proposals Map can be viewed
and downloaded by clicking the links above.They will take you to index maps where you can choose which of the 103 detailed maps
to view and download. They should be used in conjunction with the proposals map key,
volume one (written statement) and
volume two (appendices) of the UDP Review 2006.

The Ordnance Survey mapping included as links on this page is provided by Leeds City Council under licence from the Ordnance Survey in order
to fulfil its public function to act as a planning authority. Persons viewing this mapping should contact Ordnance Survey copyright for advice
where they wish to licence Ordnance Survey mapping/map data for their own use. Unauthorised reproduction infringes Crown copyright and may lead
to prosecution or civil proceedings.
Explanatory Note on 'Saved' Policies to be included on the key to the Proposals Maps
As a consequence of changes to the Development Plan system introduced by the Planning & Compensation Act 2004, some UDP Policies which were
carried forward in the 2006 Review of the UDP without being altered, (i.e. as per the 2001 Adopted Plan) expired on 27 September 2007.
As hard copies of the Written Statement have been published for some time (which include policies now deleted) and on order to prevent
inconsistencies in the information available, these expired policies are not deleted from the Proposals Map. Instead, the deleted policies are
listed at the back of the UDP Review Written Statement, Vol.1 (pages 451 to 454) which can be inspected on the Council's website. It is important
to note that the Policies in this list no longer form part of the Development Plan.
