History

Capability Brown landscaped the grounds between 1762 and 1770 adding the Little Temple on the hill, the plantation of trees taking place around 1840. Extensive felling in 2003 has allowed the Temple to become clearly visible from the house but retaining a framework of elm, oak and Rhododendron around the building and the two ponds.

Via Rose Garden and House car parks on tarmac and informal parks or via Avenue Woods towards the ponds
