Garden Volunteers
We have many opportunities for individuals to work within the group or to work with our Parks and Countryside
staff depending on their skills and interests.
At the moment we have people helping with all aspects of horticulture, from pruning to weeding, but we have
extensive gardens including National Collections of Phlox, Asters and Delphiniums so the work is very varied
and there is plenty of opportunities to learn from our own staff.
The group is also responsible for our Tudor Herb Garden which grows herbs for our "Working Lives - The Tudors"
School Programme.
The working arrangements are very flexible, but a small group meets on Tuesday mornings. No special skills are
required as training and tools will be provided.
