Golf

Temple Newsam Golf Club was formed in 1923. The club itself is private but plays on two courses owned by Leeds City Council who also cater for pay and play enthusiasts.

The Lord Irwin Course is 6,407 yards long and the Lady Dorothy Course 6,261 yards long. Both are a good test for golfers at all levels and are moderately difficult.

Broad tree-lined fairways at Temple Newsam have been used both by individuals and club players who have gone on to represent local and national teams.

The 19th hole, just off Temple Newsam Road provides welcome respite for social members with snooker facilities, a bar and private lounge for hire. Catering can be provided for all occasions. The Golf Shop is nearby.

Membership
Membership is available for all categories, including Ladies and Rabbits, at reasonable rates but don't forget that Daily Pay and Play is still provided. A Leeds Card or season tickets gives you a reduced cost. For membership or room hire enquiries, please contact the Secretary on (0113) 264 5624.
