Feb/Mar
Lean-to south facing conservatory display of forced flowering bulbs, more permanent plantings include Camellias, Plumtago, Bougainvillea and Zonal pelargoniums, wall trained. Drifts of Crocus and Daffodil plantings throughout the grounds.

April/May
Magnificent displays of Rhododendrons and Azaleas begin their flowing period. Winter bedding plant display/design will be at its best now. Display of pot plants in the conservatory, mainly Cineria, Calceolaria and Hydrangea.

June/July
Vibrant herbaceous borders are coming into their prime now, as are the rose beds within the old walled fruit garden. National plant collections of Delphinium and Phlox (open 11.00am - 3.00pm) provide stunning and unique plantings. Summer bedding plant design will have now become established and in full flower. The conservatory housing displays of pot grown Zonal Pelargoniums and a National Collection of Solenostemon-Coleus.

Aug/Sept
Lakeside beds tastefully planted with Grasses, Day Lilies and Foxgloves. National Collection of Aster novi-belgii and a collection of Korean Chrysanthemums provide colourful displays into Autumn. Within the conservatory is a collection of patio/cushion type Chrysanthemums grown in containers.

Oct/Nov
The season draws to a close but the mixed woodlands are now a riot of autumn colour. The Conservatory provides a display of both Charm and Cascade Chrysanthemums, later followed by a display of Poinsettia leading up to Christmas.
