In the 1808 inventory of Temple Newsam, the Textile Room is recorded as a servant's 'Dark Room', accompanying Mrs Aston's Room. It is now given over to a permanent display of historic textiles from the Roger Warner collection that includes furnishing and dress fabrics from the 17th to the early 20th centuries.
