Through the door from the west end of the Picture Gallery is a lobby in front of the Bathroom. The panelling used in this area to create partitions in the early Georgian alterations came from the Jacobean Gallery. The Bathroom was installed by Mrs Meynell Ingram who occupied the adjacent Crimson Bedroom, probably from the time she inherited Temple Newsam in 1871 until her death in 1904.
